UR EX BF are a five piece all queer post-punk band based in Manchester, UK consisting of Alex Harvey on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Gary Cruise on lead guitar and backing vocals, Max Tyler on bass, Lucy Astbury on keyboard and Tom Darby on drums.
Formed in 2022, the band have gone on to release two singles, Lady Godiva and Loose Ends, whilst also playing various venues in and around Manchester including Retro, Fuel and even headlining Manchester Club Academy, all whilst consistently evolving their sound to bring new blends of post-punk, indie, dreampop and punk to their many original songs that make up the setlists for their live performances.
Midland Railway
Having met each other through a combination of gigs around Manchester University, Magic The Gathering Tournaments, and the LTA Local Tennis Leagues, Midland Railway have developed their unique brand of melodic nerd-rock that combines Weezer-inspired guitar sounds with some Bright Eyes-inspired misery, Magnetic Fields-esq dark humour, and some extremely specific references to the band's interests, hobbies, and experiences, leading to songs about topics such as Pokémon, online football management, and serial killers. Midland Railway are Nick (vocals + guitar), Sarah (bass + vocals, Andy (guitar), and Billy (drums). All the best bands are named after railway companies, and Midland Railway are on track to join this exclusive club.
