N&D Showcase: Collectors

The North West quintet, Collectors., expand and experiment within the Alternative scene, varying from the ethereal and atmospheric to the encompassing sound of distorted guitars and weight of drums. Inspired by the likes of Interpol, Citizen, City and Colour, and Daughter, they set out to find their own sound, playing to audiences with their most recent release and debut EP, ‘Strange & Familiar’.

The Twenty Two

The Twenty Two are a 4 piece indie band from Warrington. Brimmed with ‘stadium ambition and guttural urgency’, the band were formed amidst the chaos of the global pandemic. However since this, The Twenty Two have built their high energy presence gigging across the North West.

Isms

Isms is a four-piece band based in Manchester exploring political nihilism, the emotional turmoil of being a twenty something, and *completely fictional* stories of cat burials in their songwriting. The band is influenced by alternative music, post-punk and art rock, as well as some touches of dance music, seeing as three out of the four members are DJs too. Isms combines a love of scuzzy guitar music that expresses overwhelming catharsis and vigour with sweet and danceable moments.

OOPSA Cat

Oopsa Cat are a band that intertwines the mystical with the natural, creating an auditory tapestry that transports listeners to enchanted forests and mythical realms. Inspired by the untamed beauty of the outdoors and the rich tapestry of global mythology, Oopsa Cat’s music is a celebration of the whimsical and the wild. Formed by musicians Jessica Luise and Daniel Turton who both share a profound love for nature, mythology and story telling. Oopsa Cat weaves together organic sounds with ethereal melodies. Their instrumentation features a blend of guitar, bass and enchanting vocals, all underpinned by nostalgic vibes reminiscent of a mythical world
