Freda Wallace

Freda Wallace is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Manchester UK. Her current work involves sound art, spoken word and painting informed by experiences as a trans-woman and feminist in post industrial Manchester and beyond. Art At The End Of History is a continual series of paintings started during the lock-down period in 2020. The first exhibition of this series began has an outdoor installation which was hung on the west facing wall of a long derelict factory in Ancoats, Manchester, just off Jersey St. The paintings were exposed to the air and intentionally left to decay. They existed from June 2020 to present. For this exhibition at the Night & Day Café she has made 4 new large canvases and additional drawings from the original installation sketches celebrating the return to life and reunion of people who have felt fragmented by the events of the last few months.
