Manchester’s FURROWED BROW have a reputation for anarchic, unorthodox shows rooted in an absolutely DIY aesthetic. Punk to the core without being punks they lurch irreverently through a mishmash of glam, art, new wave, goth, 60s garage and even folk influences. Expect wilful integrity, artistic pig-headedness, pretension, contradiction, glamour and enough arch, brassy vocals to kill a horse
Formed in late 2022, Fruit are a five-piece band based in the North-West of England (Manchester/Liverpool). The band started in Leicester where musicians Josh Withers (vocals), Jimmy Danger (Baritone Guitar), and Alex Hemley (bass) began writing together through a shared passion for experimental music. The three moved to the north, going on to recruit Finn Alderson (Guitar) and George Dimmock (drums) who had been involved in their own local scenes in Norwich and Kent respectively. Though the band haven't been playing together long they have quickly developed a recognisable sound, packed with swathes of dissonance, noise, and poetry. The combination of these elements has so far culminated in their debut single 'Bleak' released February 17th.
Jack aka Leon the Pig Farmer is a rhythmic sonic punk poet using social commentary, mental health recovery and political frustrations as the bed rock of his subject matter. Nothing is off bounds or untouched!! Its been said on reviews he is "a staccato burst that takes people on a roller coaster and will stun and mesmerize an audience" (Louder Than War Magazine). Having supported and collaborated with many bands locally and nationally expect energetic off book rehearsed verse with vigour, a performance spoken wordsmith that has a little more than a lot to say.
