The Twenty Two
On reflection, a global pandemic wasn’t the ideal time to launch a new band but Warrington -based, 4-piece The Twenty Two managed to write and record their debut ep between lockdowns and release to critical acclaim. Their debut is packed with vociferous attitude and swagger, bursts of guttural vocal energy, grinding guitars and pounding drums but there’s also a sensitive side on display with strong songs, soaring melodies and talented musicianship.
Think: Sam Fender, Kings of Leon and Royal Blood birthed an indie rock band made up of geeks and freaks, welcome to the stage: Concrete Forest. Fresh off the back of releasing their debut EP " Daybreak" Concrete Forest showcase an interesting mix of high-energy rock styles, demonstrating an exploration of different genres and topics to a unique auditory experience. The group; consisting of Joseph Denyer, Jordan Wilson, Yejune Chun, and George Highton; showcase progressiveness through intricate guitar lines and raspy vocals.
