We are happy to finally have our good friends from Edinburgh coming up to showcase their amazing take on cultural driven sounds from around the globe. Chris Astrojazz Knight the man behind Samedia Shebeen and top programmer of the famous Kelburn Garden Party will bring the heat to Night & Day Cafe for one night! Be prepared to experience records that will transport you into otherworldly musical dimensions! Me Gusta resident DJs will spin out our usual diversity of sounds and rhythms from around the globe so get set for a 1st class flight! This one shouldn't be missed! Expect to hear Afrobeat, Disco, Funk, Dancehall, House + much more!

Samedia Sheeban

The Samedia Shebeen started life in 2010 as an idea for a touring festival tent, transporting late-night party people to an imaginary jungle voodoo den cum lost township shebeen. With full, immersive set design and décor, and a soundtrack spanning old and new sounds of Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, Middle East and beyond, it has proven a big hit with people at clubs and festivals. Since 2010 Samedia has toured festival across the UK, around Europe and even built a stage on the banks of the Nile at Jinja for Nyege Nyege Festival. We can be regularly found providing the tropical flavours at Boomtown, Knockengorroch and Kelburn Garden Party.
