As Martha Reeves once said, 'It's like a heat-wave!'
Well...ok, we've had a few days of glorious sunshine and that's probably our lot. But it doesn't mean the good times stop rolling!
And at Night & Day Cafe, we've got a whole host of amazing shows coming up this month...
Kicking May off in style is KOREA ROCKS! Presenting four awesome bands from South Korea, playing rock, indie and grunge, and all for free!
Then on May 9th, we're delighted to be hosting a CLASH MAGAZINE ISSUE LAUNCH here at Night & Day, with live music from DEAD SONS and special guests and DJ's until 2am. Free before 8:30 and then just a fiver afterwards. Following that, on May 10th, THE RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION put their launch night in full swing, presenting 9 DJ's, playing a whole range of genres, from 11pm - 2am...free entry as well!
On May 11th, keep those dancing legs swinging, when the incredible Charlestown folk-duo SHOVELS & ROPE head into town, playing their countryfied hoedown tunes.
Then on May 13th, things take another turn , as RDGLDGRN hit the Night & Day stage, performing tracks from their Pharrell-produced and Dave Grohl featuring Red Gold Green EP. This is one you do not want to miss!
In the latter weeks of the month, we're delighted to be hosting RUE ROYALE as they return to Manchester on May 15th, before MICHAEL 'MICK' HEAD, best known as lead singer and songwriter for Shack and The Pale Fountains, plays a very exciting one-off show on Saturday 18th May.
Glasgow folk-rockers THREE BLIND WOLVES head to Night & Day on May 22nd, THE TOTAL STONE ROSES pay tribute to Manchester's finest on May 24th, and on May 27th, folk troubadours HOT FEET and BOAT TO ROW co-headline, creating some of the most stunning music you'll hear for a long time...
Bringing the month to a glorious end is a highly-anticipated free entry show from NICK HOWARD on May 28th, and then we have a phenomenal lineup on May 30th, featuring COASTS, MT. WOLF and LVLS - only a few tickets remain for that one!
And of course, throughout the month we have numerous LOCAL SHOWCASES, featuring the best in undiscovered talent from Manchester, including a special NIGHT & ALL-DAYER on Sunday 26th, to celebrate the second bank holiday of the month and local music!
We also welcome the return of the POP-UP VINTAGE FAIR on Sunday 5th, and as always, we'll be serving delicious fresh sandwiches and wraps, hot and tasty burgers, homemade cakes and coffee, yummy breakfasts and all the frosty beers you could ask for, every day of every week!
